Buffalo Ranch Chicken Skewers feature chicken cubes coated in seasoned buffalo sauce, cooked to perfection in an air fryer, oven, or grill. Whether served as an appetizer or main course, they’re sure to be a hit! This recipe draws inspiration from the immensely popular Bang Bang Chicken Skewers.
Ingredients & Substitutions
Chicken: Cut boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. For the best results in cooking, try to make each piece about the same size. If preferred, you could also use chicken thighs. Adjust the cooking time as needed.
Buffalo Sauce: Optimal flavor is achieved by preparing homemade buffalo sauce, allowing customization of heat level. Alternatively, utilize your preferred store-bought brand.
Seasonings: Dry ranch seasoning mix, along with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, are incorporated into the buffalo sauce to enhance its flavor profile.
Can I Marinate The Chicken In The Buffalo Sauce?
Sure! The chicken can be marinated in the seasoned buffalo sauce. Keep it in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 24 hours. Then, thread the chicken onto the skewers to cook.
What To Serve With Buffalo Ranch Chicken Skewers
There are many delicious ways to serve these chicken skewers, from appetizers to the main course. Here are some ideas for serving:
Grilled vegetables such as asparagus or green beans Coleslaw Potato salad Macaroni salad Dinner rolls Roasted sweet potatoes Dipping sauces such as ranch or blue cheese dressing
Wooden Skewers vs Metal Skewers
Chicken skewers can be prepared using either wooden or metal skewers, including in the air fryer. When using wooden skewers, it’s recommended to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking. If they’re too long for the air fryer basket, break them to fit. Metal skewers don’t require soaking, but ensure they fit in the air fryer basket.
How To Store Buffalo Ranch Chicken Skewers: For any remaining chicken skewers, place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3-4 days. Alternatively, you can remove the chicken from the skewers before storing it. Reheat using the oven, microwave, or skillet. Keep any extra buffalo ranch sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Brush it over the reheated chicken before serving.
