Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
8 oz (225 g) linguine or spaghetti
For Garlic Bread:
1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Cook Pasta:
Cook linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté Shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Add shrimp, cooking until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
Add Liquid:
Stir in white wine and chicken broth, adding red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Combine with Pasta:
Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce. Stir in fresh parsley.
Prepare Garlic Bread:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix softened butter, garlic, and parsley. Spread on sliced French bread. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
Serve:
