Alfredo with Blackened Steak and Shrimp

Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo is a decadent and flavorful meal that blends seasoned blackened shrimp and top sirloin with a creamy alfredo sauce. Ingredients & Substitutions Pasta: I prefer penne pasta for its tube-like shape, which perfectly captures the creamy Alfredo sauce. However, feel free to use other types of pasta or even make your homemade pasta!

Shrimp: Opt for large raw shrimp that have been deveined and had their tails removed. If purchasing fresh shrimp, peeling and deveining is straightforward. To peel, begin from the underside. To devein, carefully make a shallow slit along the back of the shrimp and remove the black vein using the tip of a knife. Whether you leave the tails on or off is your preference (we removed them). If using smaller or larger shrimp, adjust the cooking time accordingly. Precooked shrimp can also be used; simply add the seasoning when reheating.


Steak: I opted for top sirloin, which is a relatively tender meat. Alternatively, you can choose your preferred cut such as ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, or tenderloin.

Blackened Seasoning: The key component of this dish is the blackened seasoning. It’s applied to season the shrimp, steak, and sauce, creating a flavor explosion for your taste buds! For maximum flavor, consider preparing your own homemade blackened seasoning.

Sauce: The creamy Alfredo sauce receives a flavor boost from the addition of blackened seasoning, resulting in a smoky and mildly spicy taste.

If you’re concerned about its heat, begin with a smaller amount of seasoning. You can adjust and add more according to your preference!
